José Luiz Ragazzi has been a partner of Tortoro Madureira & Ragazzi Advogados since 2014. Ph.D in Civil Procedural Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC/SP) and Master of Constitutional Law from Instituição Toledo de Ensino (ITE). Professor of Civil Procedural Law for the Master’s/Doctorate’s Degree Program at Faculdade de Direito de Bauru (ITE). He is also a professor for various Graduate Degree programs throughout Brazil.
His practice areas are focused on Consumer, Banking and Civil Law and Debt Recovery, Reorganization and Arbitration. Ragazzi acted as General Legal Superintendent at Banco Safra, in the Debt Recovery area.
Member of the Debt Recovery Committee of FEBRABAN (Brazilian Federation of Banks), of the Brazilian Institute of Procedural Law, of the São Paulo Attorneys Institute (IASP), and also member of the editorial board of various publishers and legal journals.
Author of several books, such as: Tutela Antecipada nas Relações de Consumo; Intervenção de Terceiros no CDC; Código de Defesa do Consumidor Comentado; pocket editions of legal books (volumes I and II), Direito do Consumidor. Ragazzi has also written several articles published in specialist law magazines.
