Patricia Miranda Pizzol is a Professor, PhD and Master’s degree holder at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP). She holds a degree in Law from the Federal University of Espírito Santo and a degree in Business Administration from the Espírito Santo School of Administration. She did postdoctoral research at La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy (2003/2004). She was a Visiting Scholar at Syracuse University, USA (2022). She teaches undergraduate, lato sensu postgraduate, master’s and doctoral courses at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. She teaches in several postgraduate courses in the country. She was Head of the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Labor and Vice Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Law of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP). She is currently Vice Coordinator of the Law Course at the same University.

Author of articles and books, among others, Tutela coletiva: processo coletivo e técnicas de padronização das decisões (Revista dos Tribunais, 2019); Processo Civil: Recursos (Atlas, 3. ed. 2009); A competência no processo civil (Revista dos Tribunais, 2003); Liquidação nas ações coletivas (Lejus, 1998).
